About Logan Barrett

I'm a quality control analyst at a parts plant outside Fort Wayne, which mostly means I spend my day noticing small defects other people walk past, and I've never managed to turn that habit off once I get home. I read a book most weeks, I've got a regular Thursday game night that's been running for a few years now with mostly the same five or six people, and I started writing these up because I got tired of losing track of what I actually thought about something two months after I finished it.

I was a math major before I ended up in manufacturing, which probably explains why I gravitate toward the games and books that make my head hurt a little, Egan, Wolfe, anything with an engine underneath it I can take apart. I'm in a book club that meets the first Tuesday of the month, mostly translated fiction and weird nonfiction, and I've got a library card I use more than I'd like to admit given how much shelf space I've already given up to this hobby.

2026 -- still working through the backlog my book club keeps growing faster than I can read it down.

Everything reviewed here I bought myself, no review copies and no affiliate links. If it's rated on this site, I finished it the same way anyone else would have to.
